NCRT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization -- gifts to NCRT are tax-deductible. Financial information about this organization and a copy of our license are available from the North Carolina Solicitation Licensing Section at 1-888-830-4989. This license is not an endorsement by the State of North Carolina.
North Carolina Rail-Trails (NCRT) utilizes donor's personal information such as names, mailing addresses and email addresses only for purposes of donor acknowledgement and/or when an individual voluntarily provides this information and opts to join our mailing list. NCRT does not share donor's personal or contact information with any third party organizations for purposes of solicitation.
For purposes of individual donor acknowledgement, NCRT may send thank-you letters to donors and to new and renewing members.
Visitors to the NCRT Web site remain anonymous. NCRT does not require visitors to register or provide personal information to view the site. There are instances when site visitors are asked for additional information in order to complete a Membership form or to make a donation. All on-line transactions are conducted through PayPal and via a secure server.
We use a number of web analytics products to optimize our web site, including Aw-Stats reports provided by our internet service provider and Google Analytics. These tools do not require our site visitors to identify themselves, and they do not provide us any personally identifiable information about our visitors. Our goal in using analytics is to understand what parts of our web site you like and which parts need work. We encourage you to accept cookies when surfing our web site so we can do our job of providing you useful information as effectively as possible.
North Carolina Rail-Trails is a member/partner of EarthShare North Carolina (ESNC). All partners of ESNC are required to comply with the Standards for Charity Accountability issued by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Eastern North Carolina. NCRT is a member of the Eastern NC BBB and submitted materials in January 2010 to document our compliance with these standards.
